League Description

Orion's National Air Rifle "New Shooter" League is an offshoot of the National Air Rifle League. This league is ONLY meant for developing teams, in their first year of competition, to compete against other developing teams. 63 teams competed in 2020, only in the third season! We will continue to offer this League each spring. Especially since it is intended for new athletes, the New Shooter League rewards week-by-week improvement, not just overall performance!

The "New Shooter" League is governed by the National Standard Three-Position Air Rifle Rules.

2022 Registration will open in the late Fall 2021.

Season Schedule

  • 11 weeks: January to April

  • One game each week against another team in the league. Each team gets three bye weeks, competing in a total of seven matches, with the final week only being used for rescheduled matches.
